- United Kingdom**Equans is looking for a General Duties Assistant (Handyman) to join our team in St Davids Hospital Cardiff CF11 9XB on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.**

**8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday**

**What will you deliver?**

**T**o undertake Planned and Reactive Maintenance across multiple sites on two contracts within South Wales. To undertake reactive and planned maintenance when requested, in line with general building services within skillset.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- To undertake General Maintenance
- To undertake Planned and Reactive Maintenance within your skillset
- Manage sub -contractors in line with our policies
- Raise any H&S issues on AIMS
- Raise issues on Maximo
- Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work.
- Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the client’s premises, staff and visitors.
- Liaise and undertake duties at other locations at request.
- Keep all servicing records up to date and within statutory guidelines
- Any other duties as required comparable to this role

**This role includes a DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.**

**Who are we looking for?**
- Multi-skilled work experience within a maintenance environment
- Have an understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of building services and systems within a healthcare environment
- Possess a current valid driving licence
- Work on your own initiative and follow schedule of planned works
- Computer literate and able to produce reports and record keeping
- Good communication and customer care skills
- Work as a team player and pass on knowledge to others
- Prepared to work out of hours as necessary
- Prepared to travel to other sites within the Company
- The individual will be required to undertake enhanced DBS screening.
- Inoculations will be provided by the company.
