I work on behalf of a wonderful SEND primary school that has students with a range of difficulties. This school is looking for a ASD specialist TA to join their faculty. This school really values the strength of their faculty, so as an ASD teaching assistant, you would be joining a supportive and passionate workplace. During your role, you will need to be adaptable and patient, as you will be working 1:1 and in groups with ASD students.

It is important to the school that all the staff are confident in their abilities, so you can drive the students to also achieve their best. This school is looking for a teaching assistant that is passionate, respectful and has a strong sense of perseverance. Every day and every ASD student will be different, so you must be adaptable to support them in gaining the best education possible. This job requires 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) and paid or voluntary required experience with children specifically with ASD. A university degree is not required, but you must have a drive to uphold the education and moral standards within the school.

**This role will include**:

- 1:1 and group work with early years students
- Building relationships with the faculty, students and parents of the school
- Encourage positive behaviour
- Supporting lessons and enrichment activities
- Working alongside the school’s faculty
- Prepare learning materials
- Taking care of social and emotional welfare

**Working with Long Term Teachers**
