About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a brilliant Special secondary school in Swindon. The successful candidate will provide support across a range of different classes (KS3-KS4) and work closely with the teaching staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom support and 1-1 support to students with SEMH and ASD
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with the development and implementation of behavior management strategies
  • Support students with their personal and educational needs
  • Proactively support the class teachers and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience of working with students with SEMH and ASD
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to maintain accurate records
