About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school. As a key member of our staff, you will provide personalized support to a child with an EHCP, helping them thrive in their academic, emotional, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with an EHCP, assisting with their academic, emotional, and physical needs
  • Support the teacher in creating a positive learning environment, preparing and maintaining resources as needed
  • Assist in developing and monitoring personalized learning plans and education goals, ensuring the child's progress and well-being
  • Deliver interventions and activities that promote safe and effective learning behaviors, fostering a love of learning in the child
  • Supervise children during midday breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing a supportive and inclusive environment
About You
  • Be able to perform the duties described, with a strong commitment to supporting children with SEND
  • Have experience working with children with SEND or a strong interest in developing these skills, with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Hold a Level 2/3 NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of child development and learning
  • Be competent with IT for record-keeping and communication tasks, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
