Job Description

A challenging yet rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a brilliant Special secondary school in Swindon. As a key member of the school community, you will provide vital support to students with Social, Emotional & Mental health (SEMH) and ASD.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a motivated and adaptable individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to provide tailored support to students across a range of subjects, with a focus on SEMH and ASD students.

  • Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupils.
  • Have experience of working with SEMH/ASD.
  • Feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Support students on a personal level as well as educational.
  • Proactively support the class teachers.
