We are excited to be working with a leading supplier of custom printed plastic cards, to recruit for a determined, focused and results driven Business Development Executive to join their team based in Deeside. As Business Development Executive, you willbe a key part of their small Customer Services and Sales department, you'll develop business from an existing customer base and generate new sales through targeted prospects. A significant part of the role will be making outbound sales calls to develop existingcustomer accounts by building relationships. You will be required to follow up on marketing activity and promotions. Part and parcel of the role will be handling objections, qualifying customer requirements and negotiating/closing deals.
This is a varied role where you won't get bored doing the same thing day in day out. **Role**:
As Business Development Executive, you'll develop business from an existing customer base and generate new sales through targeted prospects. A significant part of the role will be making outbound sales calls to develop existing customer accounts by buildingrelationships. You will be required to follow up on marketing activity and promotions. Part and parcel of the role will be handling objections, qualifying customer requirements and negotiating/closing deals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Generating sales opportunities with new relevant as well as existing companies that have previously purchased.
- Contact clients on the phone, MS meetings and social platforms.
- Handle objections and negotiate/close deals with new and existing clients
- Provide excellent customer service in line with company values
- Follow up new business enquiries to qualify customer requirements and make recommendations
- Respond to inbound sales enquiries and process sales orders through CRM system
- Maintain CRM customer records, including writing clear and accurate notes following customer conversations
- Maintain the database and update as required.
- Generate system quotes and manage follow ups to close opportunities
- Comprehensively understand the product range and proactively maximise all sales opportunities
- Participate in specific sales projects and team activities as required and directed
- Provide cover for inbound calls and order processing with the department.
- Work on specific projects to launch new products to key target industries.
- Work to quarterly individual and team targets.
- Provide monthly reporting in line with company requirements.
**Skills**:
- Previous experience in a B2B sales role is essential
- A proactive, positive, and enthusiastic approach to work is essential
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills - particularly a strong telephone manner
- Confidence and autonomous approach to work
- Sound IT skills
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
- Good interpersonal skills with a pro-active "can do" attitude
- To be able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels in the business
- Manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Commercially aware
- Working to deadlines and targets
