**Do you have extensive experience in a Telecoms IT Core Networks Department already in a senior role?**
- Excellent knowledge of **OSS/BSS STACKS**:

- Good working knowledge of **fibre optic network technologies** across point to point and point to multipoint technologies
- Previous experience in working on a network to enable traffic for >100,000 potential customers, ideally with previous experience of the design, implementation or operation of an **AS network.**

MS3 are recruiting for a seasoned Head of Networks to take full ownership of the IP Network.

**Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to offer visa sponsorships and require our Head Of Networks to already reside within the UK.**

The purpose of the Head of Networks is to take on full accountability of MS3’s **IP Network.**

This includes:

- MS3’s Core, Aggregation and Access networks.
- Working closely with our Head of Design and other Operational teams.
- Ensuring we have a highly scalable, resilient and secure network.

You will be responsible for owning the Network strategy which will include high and low level designs, implementation and the operational management of the MS3 network.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the network complies with relevant regulations and standards.

**About MS3**

MS3 operate in the Hull, and surrounding areas, with plans to pass over 500,000 homes and businesses with full fibre. As a wholesale-only provider, MS3 will enable its existing and future ISP clients to provide up to 10Gb connections to end-customers, building on their existing fibre ring through Hull and to more than 30 other locations in the region.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Developing and executing the company's network strategy: Working to define the overall direction of the network, including planning for growth, identifying key markets, and making decisions about network architecture.
- Managing network operations: You would oversee the day-to-day operations of the network, ensuring that it is running smoothly and efficiently. This will involve working closely with network engineers and technicians to troubleshoot issues and ensure that maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Leading network design and implementation: During all stages of network development, you would work closely with network engineers and other stakeholders to design the architecture of the network. You will work closely with the Head of Design and would also be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the IP network, ensuring that it meets all relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Managing network security: You would play a critical role in ensuring the security of the company's network infrastructure. This would involve developing and implementing security protocols and procedures to protect against cyber threats.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders: As the head of networks, you would be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including network equipment vendors, external technology partners, regulatory bodies, and customers. This would involve communicating regularly with these stakeholders to ensure that their needs are being met and that the company is delivering on its commitments.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience in working on a network to enable traffic for >100,000 potential customers, ideally with previous experience of the design, implementation or operation of an AS network.
- In-depth knowledge of Core, Aggregation and Access technologies, typically within the Service Provider landscape.
- Good working knowledge of fibre optic network technologies across point to point and point to multipoint technologies
- Understanding of network protocols and architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a team and provide effective leadership.
- Attention to detail and ability to monitor network performance.
- Knowledge of network security measures and best practices.
- Working knowledge of automation across both networks and typical OSS / BSS stacks

**Essential Qualifications**
- Degree in telecommunications, network engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and testing of IP networks.
- Significant experience in network configuration, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- A proven track record of managing and leading a team of network technicians and engineers.
- Experience in working with vendors and suppliers.
- Understanding of the regulatory requirements and industry standards related to fibre optic networks.
