**What you will be doing**

The Senior Fibre Network Planner will be responsible for supporting the Head of the department in managing the team of Fibre Network Planners and subcontractor build partners, in the rollout of FTTP in Hull and the surrounding areas. A competitive salary will be offered.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Compliance with company procedures / SLA's
- Ability to implement work pack instructions to planners, design partners and in-house engineering teams.
- Support Planners in the Survey, Design and Creation of detailed fibre job packs for Civils/fibre build
- Understanding of Telecommunication Permitted Development Order and Telecommunication Act.
- Good understanding of requirements for creation of build job packs - including all accompanying documentation for utility stats, road opening notices, detailed network plans with work point instructions, CDM, Bills of Material etc
- Ensure accurate completion of all planned work and as built documentation.
- Ensure design partners HLD and LLD designs are fit for build
- Owning, executing and delivering planning requirements within a geographic region
- Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to planned information
- Ensure accurate completion of all planned submissions and work is completed on time
- Ensure relevant Health and Safety standards are followed and achieved

**Essential Skills and Competencies**
- Planning knowledge out to the homes across legacy and current Cable/Telco access network topologies
- Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to draw together different technical disciplines
- Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and being PC literate - e.g. MS Excel, MS Visio.
- Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels
- Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude
- A strong team player with initiative, strong organisation and the desire to succeed

**Essential Experience**
- Extensive Fibre Build PIA / OR Telecoms experience (minimum 5 years) A telecoms background coupled with planning and you may have worked for one of the major UK telecommunication companies
- NRSWA knowledge
- PIA experience
- Previous experience of drawing tools, e.g. CAD, QGIS for the purpose of building designs is desirable
- Ability to produce, update and interpret designs and data
- Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels
- A strong team player with initiative, strong organisation and the desire to succeed
- A total awareness and understanding of current health and safety procedures
- Full valid driving licence
