**The Role**:
Estates Division are looking for a Business Continuity and Resilience Advisor to support University of Cambridge institutions with effective incident management and business continuity planning.

Established in 1209, the University of Cambridge is the fourth oldest university in the world and has over 19,000 students and 12,000 staff. The Operational Estate is one of the UK's largest and comprises some 370 teaching, academic and research buildings with an insurance value of more than £3.4bn. The Non-Operational Estates comprises more than 1000 investment, support, residential properties, and the University Farm.

Review of Institutions' Incident Management and Business Continuity (IMBC) plans against University guidance and identified operational risks

Designing and leading an annual programme of exercises that ensures effective testing of IMBC plans and readiness in the event of an incident

Providing back-up operational support to the University Silver Team (the University's tactical response team) during an incident

Leading on the Estates Division's business continuity arrangements

Supporting Estates Division with the management of emergency and business continuity incidents.

On behalf of Estates Division liaising with external agencies, utility companies, key contractors, etc. when necessary to, investigate incidents, reduce risk and improve business continuity arrangements

**A successful applicant will have**:
Experience of developing procedures in compliance with relevant legislation and standards

Experience of project leadership, including developing and implementing staff development and training programmes

Experience of work in risk management or emergency/incident planning and business continuity

Excellent communication skills, be a team player, with a strong customer focus

Ability to think flexibly, simulate and analyse information quickly and make reasoned judgements using pragmatic and effective decision making and problem solving.
