We currently have an opportunity for a HR Assistant to join us at our Peterborough site.

**Duties will include**:

- Update and manage the T&A system including inputting absence, holiday, and rosters; andrunning and checking reports.
- Accurately process HR forms and complete written correspondence including for new starters, contractual changes and leavers
- Advising and coaching line managers on ER related matters
- Managing long term sick and absence related issues
- Working with the Time and Attendance systems clearing exceptions.
- Maintain up to date personnel records, including paperwork, spreadsheets and absence logs
- Report on company KPI’s and collate information required for group and local reporting requirements
- Initial contact for Team Leaders/Shift Managers seeking to resolve employee queries
- Liaise with Team Leaders/Shift Managers to support management of absences and timekeeping
- Monitor and update HR noticeboards with all relevant information, guidelines and promotions
- Complete proof of right to work checks / new starter information checks
- To prepare all new starter documentation including contracts, policy sign offs and clocking cards
- Process, check and report on payroll timely and accurately each month, meeting deadlines

**Required Skills/Experience:**
- Understanding employment law, HR procedures
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Ideally working towards a formal HR qualification
- Able to adhere to and maintain confidentiality at all times
- High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
- Able to organise, manage, prioritise and take the initiative in working to tight deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt in a fluid environment and ensure deadlines are met
