**Job overview**:
We are looking for a Mental Health Clinician, with extensive adult community mental health knowledge, who has either completed their Non-Medical Prescribing Course, or is currently undertaking the course. This includes those who may benefit from a developmental post (Band 6 to Band 7 for those part way through/accepted for the course).

Ipswich Adult Community team specialise in the working age adults group, based in the Ipswich Area of Suffolk. We focus on Recovery based interventions and strive to work in partnership with those we care for, their families and their networks.

Currently the team are entering an exciting period of change and transformation, under new leadership. We are looking for people to join us to continue to build a successful service of Ipswich IDT. We aim to continuously improve the service delivery and outcomes as a part of NSFT.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Working with other multi-disciplinary professionals within the team.
- Undertake initial assessments.
- Liaise with statutory and voluntary sector.
- Offering support and advice around medication to all members of the team.
- Provide management and clinical supervision for members of the team.
- Ensuring good quality documentation.
- Complete medication reviews for patients under the service.
- Ensure that the clinic room is compliant with all related Trust policies and procedures
- Ordering of medication for patients
- Being responsible for completing medication audits.
- Offer specialist knowledge, skills and experience.
- Effective personal planning and organisation of daily workload.
- Flexible working and manage own working time effectively and accordingly to service demands.
- Practice autonomously in making clinical judgements, identifying alternative courses of action, Managing and providing a high quality of care.
- Maintain respectful, effective professional interpersonal relationships with others.
- Initiate, create and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and carers, ensuring that practice is patient centred.
- Promote the involvement of patients and carers in the development of the care pathway.
- Support in service development.
- Be part of the leadership, education and development of the team.
