Reporting to the Chief Executive, National Businesses, the role holder will develop and execute a workforce plan which supports the achievement of the strategic priorities of the business group in line with our Society DOES values and lead a small team of HR professionals to deliver this. The role holder will work closely with the COO -HR Centre of Excellence to ensure that Society-wide HR policies, processes, tools, and frameworks meet the needs of the National Businesses Group and are applied and embedded appropriately within the business units.

**What will the role involve as our Head of HR?**
- **Strategic Manpower and HR Plans**: Partner with the National Businesses Group to develop and adapt annual strategic manpower and HR plans, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and proactive adjustment as circumstances evolve.
- **Team Leadership**: Directly lead the local HR team to execute plans in line with Society-wide policies, processes, tools, and frameworks, fostering collaboration and a positive work culture.
- **Employee Value Proposition**: Collaborate with the business and COO - HR Centre of Excellence to define a compelling Employee Value Proposition, supported by optimized attraction methods.
- **Change Management**: Lead planning and delivery of key colleague change projects, working closely with stakeholders both within and outside of National Businesses.
- **Policy Development**: Provide feedback and insights so that business units are kept informed about legislative, case law or regulatory changes that will impact costs, operational practices, or Colleague engagement
- **Strategic Partnership**: Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders in the business, supporting them in making sound people decisions to maximize engagement and performance.

**About You**:
**What are we looking for in our Head of HR? You may have a variety of the below;**
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic HR plans within a matrix organisation
- Strong and engaging leadership and team management skills.
- Agile expertise in transformation, change management, and HR policy development.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data to track people trends and recommend solutions
- Proven experience in providing expert employment law advice and mitigating risks

This role is part of a team based from our
**Head Office in Warwick, with a mix of working from home and in the office**, you will need to be able to travel into the office on certain days.
