**Job overview**:
To provide a high calibre, comprehensive secretarial service, and administrative support to the associate medical directors.

To provide all aspects of administration to board sub committees, or groups within the trust as identified by the associate medical directors / trust secretary.

The post-holder is required to manage their day-to-day workload and use their initiative without supervision which will require informed judgement, excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands.

The post contains a range of duties and the majority of the work is undertaken at the post holder’s own initiative. This role involves dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information.

To ensure the associate medical directors are comprehensively briefed on all matters of importance but protected from inappropriate matters and problems.

- To act as a central point of contact for the Associate Directors and other senior managers when they are off site.
- An ability to undertake and prioritise a wide range of tasks on own initiative, using various secretarial methods, knowledge and experience gained, and a variety of IT skills, to meet changing demands and organisational needs.
- It is the postholder’s personal responsibility to comply with all organisational and statutory requirements
- Any other duties commensurate with the postholder’s band as agreed with their line manager
- To work in line with Trust Policies and Procedures recommending change in areas of own practise
- Will give consideration to their own development needs and will attend training courses as identified by the associate medical directors and trust secretary
