Salary £40,000 - £60,000 plus benefits negotiable.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established M & E contracting business who are undergoing a rapid period of growth. With projects in various sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare and education, we work across London and the South East, with our main office based near Romford, Essex.

As our Electrical Designer you will be responsible for the full design lifecycle from concept through to construction, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary technical, safety and quality standards. This is a permanent full time role, based at our office, reporting directly through to the Managing Director.

We are an experienced forward thinking team and looking for a highly motivated self starter, who looking for a role where they can utilize their experience and initiative whilst working as part of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

- to provide high-quality building services designs on time and within budget
- to carry out feasibility studies and detailed design of mechanical services for a variety of building types
- Communicate with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure designs meet their needs throughout
- Develop innovative, efficient and sustainable electrical services solutions, utilising the latest technology and design techniques
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings and schedules for electrical services, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
- In conjunction with the Estimator complete the tender process, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of tender submissions
- Monitor progress and quality of work throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes and standards
- Provide technical advice and support to other members of the team as required
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in delivering electrical services designs for a range of building types, including commercial, residential, healthcare and education
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including CIBSE, ASHRAE, BSRIA and ISO
- Proficient in the use of design software, such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit and Hevacomp, AMTECH, and Dialux
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
- Proven organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Passion for innovation and sustainability, with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient mechanical services solutions

Full time role working 8:00 to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, based in the office near Romford, parking on site, start date as soon as possible.
