**HR Officer - Hertford**
The HR Officer is an integral role within the HR team, as you'll be ensuring everyone who works for the business receives the required support and advise. You will work closely with the HR Manager on projects, whilst delivering a first class service.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, but there is some flexibility for part-time to be considered.
**Key duties include**:
- You will update employee data into the HR system and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance and HR policies are followed and collate payroll data for the Payroll department
- You'll work closely with the Recruitment Manager, supporting with the end to end recruitment process, to include, liaising with hiring managers, preparation of job specs, posting job adverts and managing the hiring process
- Attention to detail is key, as you will process vetting for new starters, checking right to work documents, completing references and raising DBS checks, along with preparing employment contracts, contractual amendments and compensation letters
- The staff journey is key, so you'll deliver staff inductions and conduct exit interviews to assess the overall employee experience and identify ways to improve retention
- Previous experience in a HR capacity is essential as you'll advise and support staff with employment matters, advising on employment cases, providing the relevant direction and process required and with the support of the HR Manager, manage the disciplinaryand grievance process
- Staff development is important, ensuring all staff receive an effective probationary review and annual appraisal and receive mandatory training
- You'll have the opportunity to work on projects, such as development and implementation of HR Initiatives and systems and be given the opportunity to stay abreast of changes in employment legislation through attending seminars and networking groups
