**Job Title**

Health and Safety Coordinator

**Reports to**

Health and Safety Officer

**Summary**

As a Health and Safety Assistant, you will support the Central Operations Manager in all operational aspects of Health and Safety, and you will be supporting the organisation in their achievement of a positive Health and Safety culture.

**Responsibilities**
- Support in the recording and monitoring of accidents, incidents, near misses, etc in conjunction with the Central Operations Manager
- To assist Central Operations Manager in maintaining Health and Safety culture within the business.
- Provide administrative support across a broad spectrum of tasks
- Monitoring contractors across the business, administrating risk assessments, liaising with first aiders, ordering PPE and recording minutes, booking training for the team
- Supporting the Central Operations Manager updating and day to day Health and Safety procedures and policies.
- Liaising with the commercial team on RAMS approvals and H&S matters
- Writing safety bulletins and monitoring the safety bulletin register and issuing to the commercial team.
- Supporting the H&S Officer with day-to-day tasks and supporting the administrator with tasks when required.

**H&S responsibilities as per PSH H&S Policy**
- Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Officer the Health and Safety Team provide support on all aspects of Health and Safety administration, duties and responsibilities include (but not limited):

- Supporting the H&S Officer updating day to day Health and Safety procedures and policies
- Assist the H&S Officer in maintaining Health and Safety Culture across the business
- Provide support in the recording and monitoring of accident, incidents and near misses in conjunction with the H&S Officer
- Provide administrative support across a broad spectrum of tasks:

- Monitoring ontractors across the business,
- reviewing RAMS/training competencies,
- administrating risk assessments,
- liaising with first aiders,
- ordering PPE
- recording minutes and booking training for the team
- Ensure operational policies and procedures are adhered to
- Monitoring Health and Safety where integrated into all business processes
- Knowing and following our Golden Rules

**Key Skills**
- Understanding of UK H&S legislation and good practice
- Ideally hold an IOSH/NEBOSH qualification but this isn’t essential
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as required
- Enthusiasm, organisational, analytical with problem solving skills with a positive and flexible attitude to work being reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a pressurised environment and to tight deadline and on your own initiative
- Full clean drivers licence
