Holiday Inn London West is a 4* hotel in Acton, West London that has 225 bedrooms, 7 meeting rooms, a gym on the 7th floor, restaurant and a bar on the ground floor.
Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our reservations department. You will already have an experience working in a hotel and is looking for a new challenge in your career. A supervisory role within front office or reservations department is ideal and knowledge of reservations is essential.
- Reports directly to the Director of Revenue
- Responsible for managing and training the Reservations team
- You will have experience of developing teams and driving them towards one goal
- Will have an authentic and passionate approach
- Ability to drive and motivate teams
- Experience of working towards company goals.
- Opera PMS and IHG experience desirable but not essential.
- Must be driven ad ambitious to consistently deliver and exceed service standards
- Clear thinker with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Be in charge of groups and related contracts. Follow up and finalise rooming lists, cover sheets, the breakfast tracker, and block washing
- Be in charge of Meetings and Events and related contracts. Follow up and finalise details.
- Prepare Group and Conference folders and brief departments as required at Operations meeting
- Adhere to all Reservations and Meetings and Events standards as outlined by the Director of Revenue
- Assist the Director of Revenue in group and Conference quotations
- Monitor forward reservations on a daily basis
- Ensures all group reservations are dealt with in an efficient and pleasant manner
- Ensure stop sells on room types, market segments, and/or rate levels are enforced when appropriate
- Active management of group blocks and wash. Ensuring this is managed effectively and communicated to other departments
- Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests.
- Uphold a high level of regular, frequent, accurate and timely communication to all related departments within the hotel
- Maximises customer satisfaction and hotel revenue by promoting the hotel’s other services and facilities to guests
