**Salary: Up to £31,100 + £700 on call allowance**

**Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week**

At Action for Children, we do everything in the interest of our children with the welfare of our staff in mind. One way we support young people is by offering nurturing environments in small residential homes, located in local communities. You could soon be a valued member of our team.

**A bit about the role**:
Ayton Villa, based in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear is Our 4-bed home that provides a safe and supportive environment for children aged 7-17 years old. It's not just a place to stay.

We're looking to recruit Residential Team Leaders who'll ensure tailored, trauma-informed support is provided for each child. Our trauma-informed approach recognises and responds to the impact of trauma on the lives of our young people, shaping every aspect of our care.

The focus will not just be on meeting the immediate needs of our children and young people but on creating an environment that empowers them to thrive and reach their full potential.

Whilst a qualification would be great, we're very open to relevant experience from those with a positive attitude and the desire to give the best care to children and young people.

The home is in a residential area with a variety of local amenities with great travel links from surrounding areas and free parking.

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**:
As a Team Leader you will work with the registered manager in the day to day running of the home and deputise in their absence.
- Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide direct line management to a team of residential
- Leading shifts and supervising staff.
- Link working with young
- Developing care plans and identifying agreed outcomes.
- Responsible for the safeguarding of young
- Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young

**Let's talk about you.**
- Experience of working with children or young **people with** **complex needs within a residential setting.
- Level 3 QCF Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
- An understanding of attachment theory and impact of adverse childhood experiences on the development and behaviour of children and young
- A positive and confident approach to engaging with children and young people,
