The Immigration and Compliance Team is one of five teams within the HR Shared Service. The team provides advice and guidance on all work-related immigration and screening matters to Institutions within the University, together with advice to employees both current and prospective. It is responsible for the University's Skilled Worker and Government Authorised Exchange visas (GAE) licences which enable the University to recruit the brightest and the best from around the world.

The Role:
The purpose of this role is to lead on the operation of the University's duties and responsibilities as a licenced Immigration Sponsor, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Skilled Worker and Temporary Worker GAE sponsor licences, through management of the processes and procedures which govern the operation of these licences. The role will also be pivotal in assisting in educating the rest of the University on the correct procedures for compliance and immigration matters.

Leading and taking full responsibility on updates and improvements to processes and procedures, seeking efficiencies and adapting them to reflect changes in Home Office guidance. Using initiative to evaluate and create new ways of working and deliver training to the team that improves the efficiency and agility of the team, based on experience and knowledge of the Advisor role and the needs of the team.

Assessing and creating Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), and providing advice on other non-sponsored visa routes to facilitate the recruitment of overseas nationals to the Collegiate University.
