About the Role
We are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to join our team at Alstom, a leading global provider of sustainable mobility solutions. As an EHS Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our projects across the UK, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on EHS matters to project teams, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate project-specific EHS initiatives, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and close calls.
- Develop and maintain EHS metrics and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, aligning with Alstom's global goals.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in EHS.
- Proven experience in EHS roles, preferably in the rail industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Experience with ISO14001, ISO45001, and OHSAS/HSG 65 standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
