**The Role**:
We are investing in several new positions to our business and have an exciting opportunity for a Regulation & Public Affairs Senior Associate to join our dynamic team As a leading voice in our industry, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate their expertise on all regulatory matters that affect our interests at InterGen. You will be a key point of contact for all things regulatory and public affairs matters, and act as a main representative of InterGen across various networks and forums in the energy sector.

**The Team**:
This is an excellent opportunity to make an incredible impact by helping build our regulatory function and be a part of our growth story by bringing public affairs in house, forming an integral part of InterGen and how we operate.

You will work closely with the Regulations & Public Affairs Manager and with members of the wider Legal, and Trading and Commercial teams. But you won’t stop there - the nature of this role ensures you will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues across all functional areas and levels at InterGen, meaning you must be able to communicate complex information effectively.

**Why you?**:
As InterGen’s first Regulation & Public Affairs Senior Associate, it is essential that you bring a strong understanding of GB energy regulatory frameworks and policies as well as in-depth knowledge of GB power gas or carbon markets. Exceptional communication and relationship building skills are a must, as you will be frequently in contact with regulatory authorities like Ofgem and other governing bodies. Sometimes in our industry, business priorities shift so we’re looking for someone who can adapt and reprioritise workload when this happens. Does this sound like you? **The Plan**:

**Education**:
Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in economics, regulation, compliance or equivalent industry experience.
