**Location: Hybrid, weekly visits to Berkshire**

**Day Rate: £350 per day - Inside IR35**

**Contract: 7 month contract**

Our leading manufacturing client is looking for a Category Lead / Brand Category Lead to join them for an interim 7 month contract. This role focuses on being the voice of the category, customer and shopper, providing key insights linked to the category vision through key business forums and through effective stakeholder engagement. It will work closely with brand marketing, customer marketing, CMI, SRM and sales teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build strong and influential relationships internally across the CBU, Category Leadership team, Customer marketing, CMI, SRM and Sales teams, based on delivering thought leadership through category strategy and vision building
- Build and influence business understanding and capability of the category across innovation, range/portfolio, price & promotion, across total category
- Be the voice of the customer, category and shopper internally, inspiring and driving a category-first mindset and customer-centric culture
- Deliver the critical customer, category and shopper inputs including strategic initiatives into S&OP+ and Quest forums Responsible for leading and delivering category strategy story/category Activation plan development internally:

- Category driver development, quantification, and growth strategies through Category Activation
- Influence category centric/moment-led brand and activation initiatives
- Translate and execute Purchase Decision Hierarchy & segmentation into the future fixture vision
- Support 3 year business planning and performance leadership
- Lead Innovation thinking & support management through S&OP+ process and forums including PCMs/ATGs
- Develop and lead Category Selling Stories and sell-ins

**Experience required for this role**:

- 3years+ experience in category strategy, category management or insight roles within FMCG
- Experience of category strategy & vision development from a customer or supplier side
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to champion the voice of the category, customer and shopper
- Data literate - functional expert of Nielsen/IRI, Kantar, Microsoft Excel etc
- Experienced at building winning relationships
- Engaging presentation skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Multi-channel and customer facing experience (preferred)
