**About the role**

We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aim for at least 1 day a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role is based at Bracknell.

The salary range for the role is: £76,300 - £119,800

This role is permanent

**What’s the role about?**

This is an exciting time to join the team in this brand new Value Chain Analysis Lead role where you will have the opportunity to shape and evolve the role.

Value Chain Analysis (VCA) plays a critical role in delivering the Partnership Plan. As VCA Lead, you will be key in successfully delivering bold, sustainable cost saving targets for Waitrose at pace. You will be leading a team of VCA Strategy Managers, who will each be leading complex VCA projects across varying categories in Waitrose Commercial teams.

You will also take the lead role on our largest and most complex VCA projects. You will business partner the Heads of CPG and work with them to ensure successful commercial outcomes. Looking end-to-end across the value chain, leveraging and developing existing expertise, frameworks and toolkits within the business to deliver sourcing strategy recommendations aimed at reducing costs. In support of the ongoing Waitrose COGS Programme, you will lead on the monthly benefits tracking and reporting to the wider Partnership, including Portfolio and Finance.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

- You will lead on the in year benefits tracking and forecasting across all VCA projects. Providing updates of the progress to target on a monthly basis to Finance, CLT and Portfolio.
- Lead a high performing, happy team which develops talent and supports Partners in fulfilling their potential
- You will continue to evolve and improve the VCA process and approach, with a view to maximising COGS savings within efficient ways of working.

**Essential skills you’ll need**
- Extensive commercial and value chain management experience in food and associated non-food retail or food manufacturing / supply
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing experience
- Excellent analytical and financial understanding
