**Key Responsibilities**
As a Subtitler, you will be responsible for the end-to-end file handling of subtitles in various languages. This will include preliminary error checks, full technical QC and final post-processing. We are not looking for people to translate or provide full linguistic QC, but language skills are always valuable.

The Localization team you’ll be joining works closely with other departments at EIKON and opportunities will arise to be involved in projects which go beyond the normal scope of subtitling. We’re constantly developing new techniques and workflows, so are looking for people with the desire and ability to learn new software, concepts, and processes, both currently and going forward. **Main Duties**
- Creating and handling subtitle language QC projects for Digital Cinema, Home Entertainment & VOD platforms
- Managing incoming subtitle files for localization and for the hard of hearing, from a variety of sources
- Conforming and importing files and scripts
- Reviewing subtitle files in various languages against video
- Quality control, editing and error reporting
- Checking updated video versions and tracking required changes
- Exporting proofs and final files for delivery internally and externally
- Problem solving language-related issues
- Identifying improvements to master projects and communicating suggested changes
- Liaising and collaborating with internal departments

**Skills and Attributes**
- Excellent knowledge of the factors that affect subtitle quality and viewer experience
- Superlative attention to detail and ability to maintain focus
- Methodical and precise in cross referencing to multiple specifications
- An ability to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive information

**Requirements**:

- Ideally 2+ years professional experience in a similar role
- Excellent command of the English language
- Strong IT literacy

This is a full-time, in-house, on-site position which may involve evening and weekend work.
