An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a **Senior Carer** assisting residents at our 26 bed residential home for 36 hours a week plus extra hours to cover annual leave and sickness

**Main Function**
To provide care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.
Experience with the safe administration of medication
This position will be part office based and part hands on care and as such you will need to be both computer literate and confident in dealing with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
**Main Duties**:
- Responsible for the safe administration of medication.
- Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the home.
- Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture.
- Participate in the development of the home’s policies.
- Participate in evaluation of the home against agreed organisational goals, business, and quality objectives.
- Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships.
- Ensure Resident rights are protected.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily care notes
- Ensure care plans are up to date
- Assist residents with personal care needs
- Promote person centred care of the residents
- Encourage innovative methods for the delivery of care.
- Encourage health promotion within care strategies.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Promote a positive image for residency and employment within the home.
- Minimise legal risks.
- Work in a cost-effective manner.
- To maintain care skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
