**About the Role**

**Base Location**: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:

- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading or Havant.

**Salary**: £51,600 - £77,400 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Digital Ventures team is responsible for coordinating and enabling digitalisation activity across SSE Renewables. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, we aim to empower every person, by giving them access to the tools and services they need to not just succeed, but excel.

As a Digital Improvement Lead in the team, you will be responsible for our “Flying Squad”. Leading a small team of Digital Project Managers, you will work with our customers to help them explore “impossible”, left field and unlikely opportunities, in pursuit of the next game changer. Sometimes you will “fail”, although you will always learn, and sometimes you will prove a concept or create a minimum viable product.

Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
- Taking a lead role on work with business representatives to clarify and document business requirements.
- Planning, prioritising, managing, executing and evaluating analysis & risk on multiple complex projects.
- Coordinating the delivery of multiple agile proof of concept and development projects.
- Nurturing a wide stakeholder network. Both to involve and engage internal customers in the adoption of digital, but also external partners and bodies to adopt new and innovative problem-solving approaches.
- Creating an environment within the Flying Squad of innovation and disruptive change. Tapping into academia and technology markets to bring game changing ideas into SSE Renewables.
- Supporting the wider Digital Ventures team.

**What do I need?**

Primarily you will need to be inquisitive and creative, with a “can do” attitude and be adaptable enough to flex your role as required. As part of a new and developing team within a rapidly expanding business, it is also essential that you can work in an uncertain and changing environment, taking the initiative, and setting your own goals in pursuit of value.

Primarily we want you to be passionate about SSE Renewables and its goals, and to be keen to support Digital Innovation across the business. You will need to be a born problem solver, with a can-do attitude, whilst also being able to keep an eye on the bigger picture. The following skills and experience will be essential for success, but a keenness to develop is more important than demonstrable experience in every area;
- Excellent at influencing, communicating and stakeholder management working with a broad and diverse stakeholder community.
- LEAN and or Scrum experience including leading workshops/events.
- Knowledge of digitalisation concepts and their potential to resolve business problems.
- Ability to accurately visualise and clearly articulate requirements and solutions to business problems including commercial implications and risk.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft O365 suite of products.
