Spire Cardiff Hospital are looking to recruit a Charging Administrator to join their established team to provide an effective and efficient clerical service for the business office department, ensuring the efficient charging of all Inpatient and Daycase procedures. To also provide high quality service to all hospital customers both internal and external with the efficient processing of Customer payments and queries.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- To ensure charging of patients for all Inpatient and Daycase procedures is actioned promptly and accurately in line with Spire procedure.
- To check all Hospital coding is consistent with that billed by Consultants.
- Identify and investigate billing problems and liaise with the central commercial team when required.
- To work closely with the Theatre and Stores department to ensure all Prosthesis and Consumable costs are recorded to cases in SAP.
- Ensure the accurate recording of procedure times and team members on SAP.
- To investigate and solve customer queries regarding invoices and billed items.
- Process customer payments over the telephone.
- To ensure that the confidentiality of information relating to patients, staff and Spire Cardiff Hospital is properly maintained at all times.
- Continuously improving oneself to deliver on the key tasks and objectives set through positive performance and to attend training events and meetings as may be necessary from time to time.
- Carrying out any other duty that reasonably falls within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post.
- **Who we're looking for**:

- Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English
- Excellent administrative/customer service skills and strong admin experience
- Computer literacy/use of Microsoft Office package
- Strong customer care ethos
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry & SAP experience - preferred but not essential
- Planning and organisation skills
- Problem solving and continuous improvement skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Concern for delivering high standards
- Ability and willingness to learn
