The Entrust Finance & Payroll Service is recruiting for an Education Payroll Officer to join their friendly and hard-working team which provides finance, payroll and Bacs support and advice to education establishments. We are looking to strengthen our team by recruiting a qualified payroll officer who is interested in developing a career in the education and payroll sector. It is an exciting time to join us to shape and develop the payroll support service from its infancy stage through to service delivery.
The Education Payroll Officer will support the Head of Service and Payroll Lead in the development and expansion of our service. Entrust is an exciting company that has a reputation for excellence, with a wealth of experience and resources to draw on.

We are looking for excellent payroll skills and someone who enjoys working with a range of people. Occasional travel may be required.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Communicating with HMRC in all aspects of Payroll including RTI
- Uploading pensions information and looking after AE and contractual duties for clients
- Ensuring correct authorisation is obtained during each part of the process
- Responding to queries from Clients, HMRC and 3rd party providers
- Building new client payroll databases
- Assisting with the onboarding of new clients
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with customers and colleagues
- Parallel running of new customer payroll information
- Undertaking further duties as required by senior staff, within reason and commensurate with the role

**What we’re looking for**:

- CIPP qualified or equivalent
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to effectively meet deadlines
- Good IT skills and ability to adapt to a range of systems
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to workload, working hours may include evening when required
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills and to facilitate successful change
- Knowledge of Public Sector payroll would be advantageous
