Cycling Project Session Lead

We are looking for a Session Lead for our Adapted Cycling Project ‘Give it a Spin’ to oversee our park ride drop-in sessions, to deliver SEND-specific Bikeability programmes for local feeder schools and to further develop social prescribing opportunities and usage of our adapted cycles across the wider community. We have a variety of two wheel bikes, tricycles, side-byside tandems, hand cycles and wheelchair transporters available to hire.

You will be fun and a self-confessed cycling geek who enjoys working outside whatever the weather and wants to empower people with disabilities to experience the enjoyment and independence cycling can bring. You will use your enthusiasm to advocate for cycling as transport, as a sport & leisure pursuit and a means to maintain an active healthy lifestyle through exercise.

A people person, with a high degree of energy, creativity & empathy, you will possess fantastic communication skills, have cycling, sports & fitness coaching, outdoor education or youth work experience. You will enjoy the challenge of working within a person-centred, busy, diverse environment. Flexibility, an ability to prioritise, patience and a sense of humour are also essential.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £12.20 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
