Crisis Response Worker
We are recruiting a full time Crisis Response Worker to be located in Chester.
**About Spider Project**
Spider Project is a Community Interest Company, dedicated to creating opportunities for people to be happier, healthier and well-connected. We are committed to transforming peoples’ lives and places through creativity, social, environmental, enterprise and democratic action. We believe everybody has a place within our community and everyone is an asset. We provide a creative environment for our Members to be the best they can; we do not have clients, customers or service users - only Members, welcomed by our values: ‘Community-Trust-Honesty-Respect.’
In Birkenhead, we run an abstinence project for people with former substance misuse issues and / or mental health issues. We also run two crisis cafés, one in Birkenhead (Compañeros) and one in Chester (Café 71), both of which aim to divert people away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and other traditional crisis services by using our dynamic Creative Recovery approach.
Our crisis cafés offer a non-clinical setting to support individuals out of crisis and, when appropriate, engage with the Spider Project’s creative recovery programme and access other support.
We welcome potential job applicants to visit us at Café 71 to gain a better understanding of our work. Please message us to set up a visit.
**Overview of Role**
- This is a full-time permanent position.
- You will work as part of a team providing the day-to-day delivery of the Crisis service, including 1:1 support.
- You will work closely with partners in other agencies, including A&E, Police, NWAS, Primary Care services, NHS 111, Drug and Alcohol services and other third sector organisations.
- You will work alongside volunteers and co-produce effective delivery of the crisis service and creative recovery programme.
