Brockworth, United Kingdom Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you a passionate, forward thinking clinician?

Are you committed to providing a 'one health', educational approach underpinned by the principles of self-management and recovery?

Do you value coproduction, lived experience and innovation?

If so, we would love to hear from you

Gloucestershire's Health and Wellbeing College is looking to strengthen our team of peer support workers, peer facilitators, administrative and business support colleagues and clinicians.

Our service provides a peer led, self-management approach to living well with long term health conditions. We pride ourselves in supporting and enabling people to become the experts in their own recovery and / or to self
- manage their long term health conditions to live the lives they choose.

We do this by harnessing the power of lived experience.

The post holder will work in partnership across Gloucestershire Health and Care services to promote, deliver and develop our courses in addition to providing vital governance, assurance and risk assessment and management functions.

We are looking for someone with a professional registration to fulfil this role (for example RMN/RGN/ HCPC registered therapist/ social worker).
- To provide advice, leadership and direction to support the day to day delivery and continuous development of Gloucestershire’s Health and Wellbeing College.
- To coordinate service provision by multidisciplinary staff, service users, carers, experts by lived experience and multiagency providers.
- With support from the Health and Wellbeing College Manager, to develop policies and procedures to enable the safe delivery of Health and Wellbeing College activities across a range of community spaces and local venues.
- To provide leadership across the lived experience and business / administration functions of our service, including responsibility for appraisals, supervision, induction, training and education in collaboration with the Health and Wellbeing College Manager.
- To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the Health and Wellbeing College, holding responsibility for defined projects and areas of delivery.
- To work in collaboration with clinical teams, voluntary care sector partners and other appropriate health and social care organisations to negotiate and develop new programs and opportunities.
- To maintain appropriate records in accordance with trust policies and requirements.
- To assess and manage risk in collaboration with the Health and Wellbeing College Manager. This may include developing protocols to support service delivery, student / participant enrolment and wellbeing and staff safety and wellbeing.

At Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, we are supportive of the people we care for in the community and aim to provide a fully responsive service to everyone who needs it. This is the same approach we take for our employees. We look to value the skills and experiences of those we work with, whether they are service users, carers, families or those looking to work with us.

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is part of the NHS. We treat NHS patients according to NHS principles and standards. The difference is the Trust is accountable to local people, rather than to Government, and so we are able to work closely with our community to develop services in the way that best suits the needs of local people.

The qualification, training & experience requirements for this role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.
