Front of House Receptionist/administrator

**Job description**
We are looking for a part-time Front of House Receptionist to join the Lincolnshire Showground team.
The venue is home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, who host a range of events, concerts, conferences, exhibitions, balls, training days and awards dinners, as well as the flagship event, The Lincolnshire Show. Lincolnshire Agricultural Society is a charity, and their main objectives are to promote food, farming and the Countryside.
You will be a highly motivated team player, a people person, an excellent communicator and will deliver the best in customer service whilst identifying all opportunities to upsell and drive our sales. Back of house, you will make sure all rooms are set-up, paperwork is complete and record any additional charges to the client.
**The role involves**:
- Ensuring that all standards are met and exceeded at the Showground
- Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Providing visitors and delegates with excellent customer service
- Communicating with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure they are kept aware of events and client requirements, including feedback
- Lead on indoor set-up and inducting visitors
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for multiple staff members
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Assist with various administrative tasks as needed
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficient in using computerised systems for data entry and record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), includes weekend and evening working.
- Hours 20 per week with an opportunity to work additional hours in peak months
- Must have a full driving license and have own vehicle
- Capable of passing DBS clearance checks
**You will be**:
A people's person with strong communication and influencing skills, you will have an approachable manner and a “hands-on” attitude. You’ll also have an eye for detail, and the ability to exceed customer expectations. Experience working in the hospitality, catering and events environment would be an advantage.
