What you will be doing:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver and develop the supportive and administrative functions of the Office of the CIO. You will work closely with the DGCIO and GCIO and help lead and inspire the key changes to working practices which will place our Customers at the heart of all that we do. This is a broad and interesting role that supports the full range of the GCIO and DGCIO’s responsibilities.

With the business going through big programmes of change, you will also get involved with exciting key projects coming down the track as we become a more digitally enhanced organisation.

Your responsibilities will include
- Manage a small Team who design and manage internal and external communications for the Group Information Technology team for all audiences, across all channels and for all purposes, working closely with the OSB Group Marketing, Communications and Recruitment teams. Your team will also organise various stakeholder events, run focus groups and surveys, and commission IT training services from the People development function and externally as necessary
- Line management responsibility for the IT Head of Risk and IT Head of Finance / Commercial functions and operations
- Deputising where appropriate for the Group Deputy Chief information Officer as / when required
- Process and information analysis - with support, the data and process analysis skills who will use a ‘systems thinking’ approach as an innovative agency for change to working practices across Information Technology
- Deriving and bringing forward insights trends and recommendations to the DGCIO and GCIO
- Accountable for maintaining the OCIO service portfolio, ensuring that services are fit for purpose and are adequately staffed to meet demand
- Accountability for maintaining all organisational processes and policy documents and ensuring they’re optimised and lean
- Review, design, and execute on improvements to org structures, find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them
- Accountability for agreed OCIO governance and reporting, ensuring data is accurate and reports are produced to the agreed standards and timelines
- Accountability for overseeing the Information Technology People agenda, including headcount plans, vacancy management, attrition risk management, colleague engagement/survey management, and training plans

In return for your commitment:
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £100,000 - £120,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

- £7,500 car allowance
- Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 80% (40% discretionary annual bonus opportunity and 40% LTIP awards)
