Administration Team Leader

An exiting opportunity has arisen to join us an Administration Team Leader within the Emergency Care Directorate. The role will support the Senior Directorate Management Team with the day to day management of a set portfolio.
The role will primarily focus on the management of Patient Flow Assistant and Secretary Teams, but there will be an expectation to cross cover and support our Emergency Department Team Leaders during absence.
This is an exciting and challenging role, working in a busy department within a vibrant team.
This role will require flexibility to work cross-site when necessary.
We are seeking to recruit someone who is looking for a progressive role and able to effectively lead an administrative team in line with the demanding needs of the service.
Experience as a line manager and knowledge of Emergency Department/Acute Medicine Unit is desirable.
Ensure adequate staffing of administration teams within agreed staffing
levels, ensuring adequate cover is provided in times of staff shortage (i.e.
sickness absence and annual leave).
Ensure that there is a robust system in place for organising appropriate
holiday and sickness relief, through use of prospective cover and at the same time ensure that resources available are efficiently deployed.
Ensure that all staff maintains a focus on good customer service at all times.
