Job Summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and organised individual to fill the role of Team Leader within its Dental Services Division.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a highly skilled team that provides exceptional healthcare services to the community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and providing daily leadership to the specialty management team, ensuring the smooth operation of services and achieving key business targets.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the specialty management team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Coordinate resources and processes to achieve successful operational outcomes, including clinic utilisation, procedure coding entry, and call answering statistics
  • Apply Human Resource policies for staff within the team, including recruitment, induction, disciplinary, and sickness absence monitoring
  • Proactively manage changing priorities, including the coordination of daily cover across the Specialty Management Group(s) to maintain service levels
  • Be the first point of contact for concerns, queries, and complaints related to operational service delivery and relevant patient pathways

Requirements
  • Level 4 NVQ Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience of processing administrative duties and supervisory experience within an administration or call centre environment
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Packages, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting priorities, and handle confidential information appropriately
