Redefine medical cover out of hours Achieve effective and safe clinical care Introduce multidisciplinary, competency-based, teams who work together Minimise out of hours workload by changing current ways of working and promoting the shift of routine non-urgent work into the day. Improve handover to ensure patients are handed over safely and efficiently Attend handover Attend / participate at cardiac arrest calls as part of the resuscitation team. Work with other members of the HOOH team to share tasks and cross cover as appropriate. Communicate continuously to ensure other members of the team are aware of the current position throughout the trust.

Refer appropriately to Surgical or Medical Registrar linked to the HOOH team Support the F1 trainees attached to the HOOH team Support the activity on the Private Patient Unit if requested The post holder will have the opportunity to be involved in one of the many quick turnaround clinical research projects and the new style of Quality Improvement projects within The Trust or even regionally.
