We're recruiting for an Apprentice Support Administrator for a client of ours based in Newcastle city centre. The role is a 3 month contract (minimum) starting in February and is full time (37 hours per week) Monday - Friday dayshift, based on campus initially then moving to a hybrid working pattern once full trained.

£11.46 per hour + holiday pay.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator, with a high customer service level & has an interest in working within the Higher Education sector. Knowledge of apprenticeships is an advantage but not essential.

Main duties of the role:

- Provide administrative support to apprenticeship programmes ensuring compliance with University procedures and Education and Skills Funding Agency funding rules.
- Keeping records of apprentice monitoring activity including coach progress review and departmental monitoring meetings, co-ordination of new apprentice intake activities including preparation of mandatory paperwork, e.g. contracts and commitment statements, programme handbooks, the set-up of tutor/workplace coach records and enrolment.
- support for student/staff programme committees and the facilitation of good practice.
- Administration of End-point Assessments.
- Support for apprentice assessment boards including administration of EPA Gateway.
- Ensuring documentation and online evidence is maintained for audit according to team protocols and processes.
- Manage database and other records in support of these activities
- Be responsible for liaison and communication with colleagues in faculties and other services or partners in relation to these areas
- Provide an excellent standard of customer service to employers and other external organisations at all times.
- Act as secretary to apprentice assessment boards and student/staff programme committees and other sub-committees and project/task groups as required; progress and monitor actions and priorities arising.
- Work with Academic Support colleagues and contribute to the wider activity of the Team as required.
- Provide an enquiry service for employers, dealing with or escalating queries as appropriate
- Provide management data on apprentice progress and performance to employers
- Support line managers in maintaining and developing administrative systems, practice and procedures to ensure high quality delivery of apprenticeship programmes
