**The Role**

As a Tutor, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of Apprenticeship learners, stand-alone diploma courses and short AEB funded courses to assist learners achieve their Health and Social Care qualifications at Level 4 and 5.

You will do this through primarily face-to-face visits with some remote video calls to deliver “person centred learning” with every learner, every 4-weeks. You will have a clear set of KPI’s and will manage your own diary to ensure that you achieve these.

You will be given maximum support during your probationary period with a person centred training programme devised to meeting your educational and developmental needs in order to equip you to do this job. This will be supported by a reduced caseload over this period of time.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Teaching and assessing learners every 4-weeks individually and in small groups of 2 - 12 learners
- Delivering teaching and learning sessions in line with the SECCTA principals of “person centred learning”
- Submitting learner evidence in line with our electronic portfolio processes
- Carrying out observations of learner practice in the workplace
- Supporting learners to achieve their maths and English Functional Skills
- Supporting learners to successfully pass End Point Assessment

**Requirements**:

- Current experience, minimum 5 years, working in the Adult Health & Social Care sector in Elder Care and/or Learning Disabilities, at a Carer or Senior Carer level, or above
- Health and social care qualification at Level 5 or above
- A willingness and enthusiasm to work towards and gain a teaching qualification at Level 3 or above if not already qualified
- A willingness and enthusiasm to work towards and gain a TAQA assessing qualification at Level 3 if not already qualified
- Good English and maths skills, preferably to GCSE level or a willingness to work towards and gain an English and maths qualifications at Level 2 or above
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Good IT Skills and an ability to use Microsoft packages

**Additional Information**

You must have your own transport, a Broadband connection at home and car insurance covered by business use. All business mileage and expenses are covered by the company

**Your employment with the Company will be conditional upon successful interview, receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and references.**

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
