- **Equans is looking for a Senior building surveyor to join our team in Grimsby DN31 on a Permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.50 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,000 - £34,000 and benefits package.**

Throughout this time the team has also been delivering services in the private sector, helping to boost the local economy and mobilise business growth opportunities in the area.

The Professional services is made up of the RIBA Chartered Practice (architectural team), Highway Infrastructure, Civil Engineering, Asbestos, Building and Condition Surveyors, Disabled Adaptations and Building Control. The team delivers a wide range of building and highways design (utilising 2D and 3D modelling) and procurement related services, including new build, refurbishment, housing adaptation, remodelling and listed building works. We deliver legislative compliances for the asset management of the NELC portfolio along with legislative consent and enforcement in the building control sector. Together the services produce design solutions for all phases of a project; providing flexible and responsive services through a collaborative approach.

**Main Purpose**

The Professional Services Team have a fantastic opportunity to join their multi-disciplinary design consultancy as a Senior Surveyor within the Disabled Facilities Grants team, to support the delivery of adaptations to domestic properties, across North East Lincolnshire.

The successful applicant will work along side the DFG manager to support the busy team to offer expert advice and guidance on the delivery of DFG cases whilst delivering their own caseload. Equans are looking for a well motivated individual who demonstrates a flexible organised approach to their work and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**Key Accountabilities**
- To work closely with our partner NELC and the CCG to review cases through Joint panel to approve cases for delivery. Providing technical advice and guidance to the panel on the deliverability of the proposed works.
- To provide design and technical support to building construction projects. Design of projects through site visits and the development of plans and specifications to deliver the requirements identified in the clinical assessment using Auto CAD/2D & 3D packages.
- Providing Technical support, advice and guidance to the team supporting the DFG manager in problem solving to move projects forward to a successful delivery, working alongside the building control team and Service manager to ensure we have complaint schemes. Equans process for delivery of DFG is unique as the DFG Service and Building Control team work alongside each as one department.
- To develop briefs, specifications, scopes of work or any other technical information to contribute to the delivery of DFG schemes, procurement and Client’s briefings.
- To develop their knowledge to ensure all technical information provided is accurate to legislative standards, ACoPs and best practice.
- To deliver of minor works and property construction projects utilising the project management process and principals within Equans.
- To prepare option appraisals, feasibility studies, estimates and the production of technical reports as required. Ensure that value is added to the work of the Section through innovation and creativity. Advising Clients and Service Managers on options and recommendations
- To issue works orders ensuring compliance with legislative, contractual and workmanship requirements including the briefing and commissioning of all consultants and clients.
- To assist as part of their development to direct and monitor works to include contract variations, project costs and final accounts as appropriate. Assist in evaluating and determining appropriate actions where problems occur and report to client.
- Operate within the policies, systems and business plans of Asset Management and the Equans.
- To delivery all works with compliance to Equans Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) standards and policies in line
