You will be part of a team that delivers the Trust’s Patient Voice and Involvement Strategy. There are three Patient Involvement Officers in the team. Their role is both internal and external. Internally, they support staff to understand the importance of patient feedback and the ways that staff can involve patients, families and local communities to improve services. Externally they build constructive working relationships with the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, proactively seeking people’s feedback on what matters to them. The team regularly visit local groups and communities, including those who are under served, to hear directly from people about their experience of EKHUFT services and to recruit Participation Partners.
- Work as part of a team to deliver the Trust-wide Patient Voice and Involvement Strategy
- Establish effective, constructive working relationships with the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector
- Provide the VCSE sector with a single point of access into the Trust’s patient voice and involvement work and ensure it is well communicated and well used
- Work closely collaboratively with involvement teams at nearby NHS Trusts
- Support our staff to ensure they understand our commitment to hear the voice of our patients, carers and families and how to involve patients and carers in their own work areas.
- Support, train and empower staff to involve patients and carers at all levels in their own work
- Work as a team to establish a culture of co-design and co-production
- Ensure we have multiple ways for patients and carers to share their feedback in a way that makes it easy for them and meets their needs, particularly those people who have additional needs
- Work closely with the Communications and Engagement Team to ensure activities are showcased effectively with maximum impact
- Ensure feedback is recorded and shared with our services and Care Groups so that it is acted upon
- Work as a team to recruit and support our staff Involvement Champions and Participation Partners who are volunteers.
- Ensure our patient involvement work is delivered to the highest quality and meets all best practice standards
