**The Role**

We are now hiring for a PR and Communications Officer to join our fantastic marketing and communications team Within this role, you will lead the development and creation of our PR content in order to maximise our brand reach whilst enhancing and protecting the Charity's reputation. This position will be very varied, allowing you to use your initiative to identify new opportunities to enhance our external engagement. From highlighting charity updates and developments to telling the stories of our former patients, you will supply content and excellent copywriting to the marketing and communications team in support of our PR plan. In addition to supporting with daily media requests and enriching our wider relationships with external media parties, you will also manage and track our media activity through our media monitoring platform.

Educated to a minimum of diploma level, or equally experienced, you will have fantastic digital skills and experience of writing long and short form copy for print and digital, as well as an understanding of social media marketing and data protection. With the ability to create clear, engaging and newsworthy copy from complex information and issues, you will be a great communicator and be able to use your initiative whilst working unsupervised or alongside the team. Since you will be planning PR schedules across all PR channels, diary management and organisational skills are essential to this role and you will be able to shift priorities in order to meet deadlines.

1st interviews will be held on Tuesday the 1st of August and will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams.
2nd interviews will be held on Tuesday the 8th of August 2023 and will be held in person at Devon Air Ambulance HQ.
