Support Officer

To be successful in this role you will have experience of delivering person centred support preferably within the homelessness sector offering coaching and mentoring, learning support and/or personal development training. You will also have an appreciation of delivering this within a time limited framework. You will demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting homeless or vulnerably housed individuals which could include mental illness, addiction, the benefit system and housing. Being committed to empowering homeless and vulnerably housed individuals is essential to this role.
**Aims for the Role**
- To support people to move into accommodation and maintain their tenancy. When appropriate to support them to move into more permanent accommodation.
- To deliver person centred work; having an understanding of the problems of resettlement forpeople who have previously been rough sleeping, basing decisions and developing a plan which prioritises their goals and priorities
- Links to high quality information, advice and guidance on appropriate services and support(internal and external) to members
- Use a soft outcomes measurement tool to help members see the progress they are making usingthe monitoring and evaluation system to record basic information and the achievement of hardand soft outcomes.
