**With this in mind, we have an exciting oportunity for a proactive and versitle individual to join the team in a brand new role as, Countil Liaison Officer.**

**The Council liaison officer is there to secure and maintain valuable relationships with Councils. They look to develop relationships with local authorities in order to secure business or contracts for our temporary accommodation service. Working to provide the very best opportunities for Unity Housing Support and our partners. Ensuring that nightly rates are kept at, or push market rates. This individual will ensure that the best deal is reached and maintained.**

**Our council liaison officer is an ambassadors for our organisation and industry representing us at community and industry events.**

**Duties**:

- To make contact with and secure business from local authorties nationaly to bring onto service new customers for the temporary accomodation branch of the organisation.
- To ensure the negotiation of the best rates possible for the properties provided under temporary accomodation.
- To maintain relationships with the local authorties and trouble shoot any concerns or complaintes raised.
- To support and lead the letting departement in ensuring stock is of the correct qulity standards prior to being marketed to the local authorities.
- To support the company with daily operational matters as required.

**To be successfull in this role you will need**:

- A background in business developement.
- An understanding of homless prevention duties and temporary accomodation.
- Excelent organisation and communication skills
- Be versatile and able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Be confident in the handling of complex and difficult situations.

**Job Type**:

- Full Time and Permanent (Part-time is not available)

**Working Pattern**:
**Requirements**:

- Experience either working with or for local authorities regarding housing. (2 Years)
- Experience in sales or business developement. (2 years)
- Excellent level of spoken and written English.
- Proficient with IT equipment and software, including Microsoft packages and Google documents.

**Sallary**:

- £28,000.00 - £32,000.00 (Subject to Experience)

- On target commission and bonus structure.
