Vaccination UK are looking for a driven and innovative individual to join our team to develop our relationships with hard to reach and underserved populations across Northeast London. The boroughs of specific focus are Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Haringey and Islington. The aim of the role is to promote and support the health of school aged children via the delivery of the School Aged Immunisation Service, and be a vaccine champion for the programme.

**We offer**:
**Pay**:£30,000 per annum**. Depending on experience, pro Rata for any part time role.

**Full time permanent contract**: 37.5 hours per week

**Working Days**:Monday to Friday

**Hours**: 09.00am - 17:00pm

**Location: Tower Hamlets & Hackney as well as other surrounding areas**

**Mileage**: £0.45p per mile from base location to the school/clinic locations and return (access to car is essential).

**You must be able to commitment for the entire duration of the contract.**

**ABOUT US**

Vaccination UK are a dynamic and rapidly expanding company who have been commissioned by NHS England since 2015 to provide school aged immunisations, including Influenza, to pupils across numerous counties and Boroughs in England, including, the Black Country, Hertfordshire, Hereford & Worcester and 9 Boroughs of North East London. From September 2021, we will also have opportunities across East Anglia.

We are rated **Good** by the Care Quality Commission and we make it our mission to provide an effective, safe and accessible school aged immunisation service. We aim to provide our staff with a workplace environment that is positive and welcoming.

**THE ROLE**

The focus of the role is to promote and support the School Aged Immunisation Service in the Tower Hamlets and Hackney, and surrounding areas.

Due to the community nature of our services driving it is essential you have access to a car.

**JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Will be directly responsible for driving forward our work with underserved and hard to reach communities, developing and facilitating school aged immunisation clinics as part of the School Aged Immunisation Service.
- Will work to establish and strengthen links, and promote and facilitate collaborative working between the school aged immunisation team, schools and other educational institutions and families in the delivery of the school aged immunisation programme.
- Will engage with and work collaboratively with external stakeholders to improve uptake of these immunisations within the community
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all school immunisation team members, school staff, and pupils and their families in order to work effectively and efficiently.
- Work with the Clinical Director, Head of Operations for NHS Services and Immunisation

Coordinators to enhance and develop relationships within these communities.
- Promote the school aged immunisation programme and act as a champion for school aged immunisation programmes. Identify and develop innovative ways to reach communities who do not or cannot currently engage with the school aged immunisation service.
- Contribute to the identification and offer of immunisation of home-schooled children.
- Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of health promotion / education and public health activities related to the school aged immunisation programme, in conjunction with the Clinical Director, Head of Operations for NHS Programmes and Immunisation Programme Managers.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Experience of working in a community setting and/or working with children & young people.
- Previous experience of building and enhancing relationships within communities.
- Experience working with a diverse group of professionals from different sectors to achieve a common goal.
- Able to demonstrate team working.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to working in a team
- Good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Teams.
- Excellent record keeping and organisation skills.
- Experience of working in a community setting and/or working with children & young people.
- Adaptable to new situations
- Ability to work accurately and with good attention to detail.
