**Your new company**
You will be working for a large public sector organisation and will be based in Newport. The organisation employs 14,000 members of staff across south Wales and aims to deliver first class care to residents of Newport and surrounding areas.
**Your new role**
In your new role you will be working within a large team speaking with members of the public via telephone to make, amend or cancel appointments. The role will range from processing referral letters, updating waiting list entries, making calls to patients,answering telephone calls, booking appointments using an in-house booking system. You will also ensure calls are answered in line with standard operating procedures (i.e. time to answer a call, information shared and focussed service), Callers are treatedcourteously, with empathy and respect and appointments are booked within internal and national targets.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in your new position, you will need to have previous customer service experience and an polite telephone manor. As well as this you will need to have tremendous attention to detail to ensure bookings are be made correctly in the first instance andexcellent verbal communication skills.
**What you'll get in return**
In return you will be joining a great team earning £9.95 per hour on a part time basis working Monday - Friday 13:30 - 18:00. The position will be office based so you will also have the ability to work in an office environment with other members of your team.The position is temporary, and the assignment will last for 12 weeks initially.
