**About The Role**:
Our Dementia Friends programme raises absolutely essential awareness of dementia, but we need you to make it happen

As a Dementia Friends Ambassador, you’ll be changing attitudes about dementia by delivering Dementia Friends Sessions. A representative in your local area, you’ll be raising awareness of the work of Alzheimer’s Society, helping to ensure people affected by dementia are aware of the vital information and support we offer, and people or businesses know about the ways in which they can support us.

There are lots of other exciting ways you can get involved too, such as being a friendly face at local fundraising events, sharing social media posts or putting up posters.
- Our network of Dementia Friends Ambassadors play a vital role by recruiting new Dementia Friends, raising awareness of dementia in their local community or organisation, and supporting fundraising activity to support our fight against dementia.

What you'll be doing:

- Delivering information sessions (at least 6 per year) in your local community or organisation to make newDementia Friends.
- Helping us raise awareness locally of the work of Alzheimer’s Society and the ways

individuals, groups or businesses can support financially.
- Being a representative for Alzheimer’s Society locally by getting involved in, supporting and promoting fundraising activities, including through social networks or community networks.

**You’ll be great for the role if**:

- You have good presentation skills or are willing to learn this skill (training and support given)
- You are proactive, organised and a natural influencer
- You are a good communicator and able to speak objectively and passionately about dementia
- You have experience of or an interest in fundraising
- You have basic IT skills - the ability to access websites and complete web-based forms
- You are over the age of 16
