**Job description**:
DIO manages £35bn of infrastructure assets and spends £3.5bn each year maintaining & developing those assets on behalf of the whole of the MoD in pursuit of its strategic objectives.

DIO’s finance function aims to provide best in class financial management, reporting and advice to a wide range of stakeholders across the whole breadth of MoD, ensuring value for money for the taxpayer in how the Department’s Infrastructure Portfolio is delivered.

As a DIO Fin Ops LMS Finance Officer you will be accountable for ensuring your Business Area (BA) adheres and conforms to all agreed DIO TLB processes and operating procedures.

The role is responsible for providing financial management of their BA/Bas budget and spend against the Control Totals (CTs) delegated. You will be working closely with a myriad of stakeholders from surveyors to land owners and other stakeholders within the DIO Finance Function

This role may require travel to various locations around the UK (though the visit frequency will depend upon complexity and materiality of the delegated budget).

**Person specification**:
**Main Responsibilities**
- Produce accruals based forecast & ABC submissions in accordance with the TLB Timetables and instructions. Engage with key stakeholders e.g. Surveyors to obtain key information regarding Training on Private Land that impact the monthly forecast by helping to implement the transition away from payment by miscellaneous bills to payment by EPC.
- Contribute to the production of Financial Statements in accordance with TLB timetables and instructions. Conduct regular “deep-dive” analysis of the transactions that impact on the forecast each month. This is done by Complete month end journals, to include raising accruals and prepayments, mismatches, mis bookings and corrective entries into the accounts.

**Desirable Experience & Skills**
- Previous knowledge of Project Financials/Accounting.
- Knowledge of PB&F (COGNOS) System
- Professional Accountancy Qualification (AAT)
