**Compass Community is an independent agency committed to caring for nearly 2,000 children and young people in Fostering and Residential Homes and strive to support children’s needs cognitively, socially, emotionally and sensorially. We also provide this within our Education facilities.**

**Therapeutic Services at Compass is growing and developing.** **We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Independent Therapists and Psychologists across all therapeutic professional memberships to be part of our Multi - Disciplinary Team Approach.** **Given the bespoke nature of therapeutic needs in our young people, we are ensuring that we develop a broad range of theoretical understandings from a variety of therapists. This means that determined by your specific skill set some opportunities include provision of single assessments for court or EHCPs, therapy assessments or ongoing weekly therapy.**

You will have passion, strong emotional intelligence and an understanding of the importance of collaborative working to achieve the best for Children in the Care system along with an understanding that assessments and therapeutic interventions may at times require flexible, creative and mindful techniques.

As an Independent Practitioner you will have opportunities of CPD from our Practice and Process Therapy Meetings and be able to benefit from our ongoing training workshops.

To enable the advancement of our approach of Assessing and Healing Complex Trauma (AHCT) you will join together with our team to ensure that bespoke assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, therapeutic interventions and resources are provided for our children who have lived with the complexities of Trauma, Loss and Abuse. This may also include those with Neurodiversity and Learning Disabilities.

Recognising the destructive elements that Trauma plays on Child Development, our team promotes a philosophy of holistic support and working together both in our organisation and with outside agencies. You will be included in Team Around the Child Meetings.

**PERSONAL SPECIFICATION - ROLE SPECIFIC**
- Professional qualification.
- Post graduate experience preferable.
- Membership of relevant professional body.
- Enhanced DBS
- Strong report writing skills.
- Understanding responsibilities in protecting their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of their colleagues and others.
- Keep up to date with developments within the profession by attending appropriate courses, conferences and meetings as per your CPD requirements.

**Salary**: £40.00-£100.00 per hour
