**Main duties of the job**:
Confidence in running therapeutic groups as well as an understanding of the psychological processes involved are an essential requirement for the potential post holder. Knowledge and experience of psychological models of therapy and recovery would also be essential to the successful applicant. We have a strong DBT informed philosophy on the wards so knowledge of this paradigm would be advantageous. Knowledge and understanding of trauma informed approaches would also be positive.

**Working for our organisation**:
The team consists of Nurses, Support Workers, Assistant Practitioners Occupational Therapists, Peer Support Workers, Psychology and Medics who work towards the shared goal of patient focused recovery. There are processes to review our work, to develop areas of good practice and support learning and development of staff.

The Therapy team have a strong ethos of supporting each other and continually developing our knowledge and practice.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
Main responsibilities to include:

- Psychological assessment, formulation and intervention as appropriate under close supervision of a clinical psychologist
- Co-facilitating psychologically informed groups
- Contributing to the practice of psychologically informed interventions within the team via teaching and developing resources
- drawing on DBT framework to support self harm reduction
- Evaluating outcomes and writing reports

You will have:

- A BPS Accredited degree in Psychology
- Experience of working with people with mental health difficulties.
