**The role**:
Education & Student Success is the division at the heart of the University of Bristol with the mission to ensure that all our students get an inspiring education and an outstanding experience at Bristol; from the moment of first interest through to graduation and beyond. It is organised into three sub-divisions: Education, Student Experience and Student Opportunity.

The Director of Admissions will be part of the Senior Management Team of the Division. They will a lead the substantive area of the Education sub-division responsible for supporting admissions strategy and delivery for the whole University.

**What will you be doing?**:
As Director of Admissions and a member of the Division’s Senior Management Team you will be responsible for shaping and driving our Divisional strategy and service excellence within your portfolio. This means you will:

- Enable the University’s achievement of its student recruitment targets through your leadership of the admissions service and all activities associated with the applicant lifecycle across the University.
- Determine and deliver strategic, operational and tactical approaches to admissions and take strategic responsibility for admissions policies and processes and associated sector-wide and statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director for Education and Students, the Academic Registrar and senior colleagues on the University Executive Board to support student target achievement and champion the applicant experience.
- You are an outstanding strategic leader with a deep understanding of the higher education landscape and associated regulation.
- You are passionate about delivering service excellence to students and staff
- You have a track record of driving positive change within large and complex environments.
- You’re an exceptional leader of large and diverse teams, with the ability to balance and manage competing priorities.
- You work in collaborative and open ways and build excellent stakeholder relationships.
